The International Day for Dreamers, aka DreamDay, is a celebration of setting dreams in motion.
The brainchild of Dream Activist, Motivational Strategist, Inspirational speaker and founder of BurnBright Lifeworks, Inc., Ozioma Egwuonwu, International Day for Dreamers is the first event of its kind. “By participating in DreamDay 2012, people are making history,” says Ms. Egwuonwu. “This is the first time in history that people will collectively carve out time to co-create future possibilities across live and digital channels. On that day, people will make connections that crisscross the earth through the power of the visions they have for the future.”
With participation growing daily all across America, as well as in countries as far as Kazakhstan and Botswana, the International Day for Dreamers seems to be gaining considerable momentum.
“Every year, many countries around the world honor their ability to labor with labor holidays,” says Ozioma Egwuonwu, “this year, we want to honor the dreamer, the visionary, the innovator and the simple truth that before one labors, one must dream.”
While the celebration carves out time and space for participants to hone in on what they truly desire, this is just the first step. The core of DreamDay 2012 turns wishful thinking into purposeful, organized action. “We will activate the transformational power of dreams, goals and aspirations, by empowering dreamers to do,” says Egwuonwu. “All participants will be provided with free resources and guided through a process to make a difference in their own lives and the world.”
DreamDay 2012 has several levels of participation, including creating and sharing a personal dream declaration using #dreamday2012, hosting or attending a DreamDay gathering, participating in a Dream Dialogue, and viewing a live streaming seminar at 6 p.m. EST.
The International Day for Dreamers is being offered to the public free of charge. All participants are invited to register on the website.
