A message from Ozioma Egwuonwu, Founder of BurnBright International:
Happy Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day!
Every year, I look forward to the opportunity to celebrate this month and day in a unique way. This year, it gives me great joy to share with you the collection of women’s voices gathered for season one of the Special Times Special Stories Podcast.
How this podcast series came to be:
About one year ago, during the early stages of the global pandemic, I had a sense that this moment was more important than we could truly fathom. I felt that the unfolding of events and perspectives were unfolding in a way that would never be seen in exactly the same way ever again. I felt called to collect stories from all over the world.
What resulted is a 6 part journey that takes listeners on a journey to meet women from very different parts of the world. Each woman’s story is one unique facet of the diverse ways that women have and continue to navigate the special times we are living in. We journey from the early stages of the Covid-19 outbreak to the outbreak of civil unrest in the United States.
In episode 5, our Co-Producer, Ariel Zuniga interviews me about my own pandemic journey. In episode 6, I offer a guided reflective practice to inspire and empower you to bring forth your own special story during these special times. Please listen and share these episodes.
